VOLUNTEER CORNER
This section will highlight one of the many volunteers that give of their time to server TNWoU. Please express your appreciation to this volunteer at an up-coming meeting.
Meet Jacquelyn Adler - CDoM volunteer
I have been a member of the NorthWest of Us since 1993 when my husband bought me my first Mac, an LCIII for our 20th anniversary. He asked me what I wanted, and
was surprised that I didn't ask for a piece of jewelry. I had an AppleIIGS before that and belonged to a short-lived user group that supported it.
In a former life, I was a computer programmer. . . mainframes, Honeywell assembler language, and later COBOL, BAL, and RPG. (Not the games.) The Mac is where my heart is now. I use Windows PCs at work and manage to tolerate them because I have no choice.
When I'm not computing, my other love is music. I sing in a professional quartet for the Jewish High Holidays with my husband, brother and niece. We've been doing it together for more than thirty years, although my niece just joined us. My husband Arthur and I have two Yorkshire Terriers, Ralph & Alice, and three cats. One of these is becoming something of a Mac enthusiast herself.
We need many more volunteers to help us keep your user group running strong. Please consider helping the group. It is so easy and you don't have to commit hours and hours of time. Just a little help will be greatly appreciated. Send an email right now to let us know of your willingness to help.
