Bi-Monthly Award Winning, Information-Packed Newsletter
NorthWest Passages, won the 1994 and 1996 awards for outstanding design from the National Association of User Groups and the 1997 Best In Show award for medium size groups from the User Group Academy. For 1998 Editor Emeritus Waynne Warren was awarded the Academy's prestigious Special Judges Citation. In 1999, under Editor Carol Sierzega's leadership, the staff of NorthWest Passages was honored with the User Group Academy Judges' Recognition of Merit. Always seeking to improve, in 2000 NorthWest Passages received User Group Academy recognition for the Best Newsletter in our size category and for 2001 the Best in Show. Issuing such awards of recognition was discontinued in 2002. Every issue of NorthWest Passages contains TNWoU news, special features & departments, software reviews, CD of the month description and a calendar of events. The newsletter is mailed for arrival at member homes a few days before the regular TNWoU Saturday meeting of odd numbered month.
