Welcome Fellow Mac User:
If you're finding your way to our site, one of two things are possible:
You're a new mac user, you might find that using a new computer is somewhat intimidating, you might be the kind of person that computers make you feel uncomfortable using them and it's just plain difficult to learn something totally new. You'll find it helpful to know that there are people in the TNWoU just like you.
For years we have been helping new users learn to enjoy their computer and really have fun with it. We want to help you make your new computing experience and transition as easy and fun as it should be. The group has wide variety of resources for you to utilize. As the largest Mac users group in the Chicago area we have helped many new users improve their understanding of their computer and get more enjoyment from the learning experience. Our SIGs (special Interest groups) where you can meet with other users to take a more indepth look into your own area of interest.
You're an experienced Mac user, you know you should learn something new, but you find it diffcult after all these years to really focus on new technques and to just "keep up" with the latest technology. So you fall back on what you already know. Your situation isn't unique to just you.
TNWoU has been helping hundreds of users start to have a more fun and productive computer experience. Many have found that it was the thing that helped get them motivated again.
The group is composed of many highly experienced Mac users who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with you and you'll have an opportunity to share your expertise with them.
So what is the next step?
We'd like you to be our guest at an up-coming meeting. Someone will meet you at the registration desk introduce you to some other members of the group and tell you more about TNWoU. You'll get a chance to find out for yourself first hand what the group is like and you'll be able to see what it has to offer you.
You may just show up at the next meeting as shown on this web site or you can let us know you're coming by completing the guest form. Either way you'll have a great time. So put it on your calendar.
